(UPDATE) Armored car robbed at gunpoint in Northeast Philly, FBI says

Three armed men held up the truck around 9:45 a.m. on the 8000 block of Frankford Avenue near Rhawn Street in Holmesburg, according to FBI spokeswoman Carrie Adamowski.

Update 2:47 p.m.: An FBI spokesperson said they are seeking four black men who were wearing masks. A green Plymouth mini-van used by the alleged robbers was recovered on 34th Street about a half-mile from the scene. It had been reported stolen from Upper Darby in August.

An armored car was robbed this morning in Northeast Philadelphia, authorities said.

Three armed men held up the truck around 9:45 a.m. on the 8000 block of Frankford Avenue near Rhawn Street in Holmesburg, according to FBI spokeswoman Carrie Adamowski.

Authorities declined to mention exactly how much money was taken.

Adamowski said agents are securing the scene and attempting to obtain security footage from nearby businesses.

No suspects are in custody at this time.
