Arson in Allston: Two cars destroyed in early morning fire

Fire investigators today ruled an early morning two-car fire in Allston as arson.

At 7:49 a.m., the Boston Fire Department responded to a blaze in a garage on Long Avenue near Glenville Avenue.

Officials described the garage as “a cinder block building,” and said that two cars – a Honda Civic and an Acura – were fully engulfed in what they called a “stubborn” fire.

At 9:17 a.m., about an hour after subduing the blaze, investigators announced that it was intentionally set.

There were no injuries.
