A baby was born on a sled in Philadelphia's Roxborough section after the father was unable to drive his car up his family's steep, snow-covered street to pick up his wife.

Bella Sophia Bonanni was born just after 6:30 a.m.Wednesday morning, NBC10 reports.

The Philadelphia Fire Department received a call of a woman in labor at 6:27 a.m. Six minutes later, another call came in reporting the girl had been born as her father, Fabian Bonanni, pulled his wife on their toddler's plastic sled toward their car in an effort to get her to the hospital.

The baby girl was delivered with the help of neighbors and a 911 dispatcher; both she and mom Shirley Bonanni are doing well at Temple University Hospital.
