Barcade Philadelphia had its grand opening today.
Located at 1114 Frankford Avenue in Fishtown, the long-anticipated Brooklyn import fuses craft beer with classic arcade games.
Formed in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in 2004, the bar opened a second location in Jersey City in April. Its Philadelphia location was determined in July of 2010 and since then, local food blogs have been abuzz with rumors of proposed opening dates, most of them false.
But now Barcade is finally here. For real.
Games include Asteroids, Burgertime, Centipede, Dig Dug, Donkey Kong, Tron, Ms. Pac Man and Frogger. High scores will be posted on the bar’s website.
