BC athletes face charges in T crash

A crash between a Green Line trolley and a Jeep in Brighton yesterday led to transit police charging seven teens, including three members of the Boston College national champion hockey team, as minors in possession of alcohol.

The B line trolley driver told police that the Jeep, driven by 19-year-old Jane Stanton, crossed on to the Commonwealth Avenue tracks in front of the train just after midnight.

Stanton, Patrick Wey, 19 and Tina Dilandry, and Philip Sameulsson, both 18, were treated at the scene by Boston firefighters while Reilly Corbett, 18, Parker Milner and Elizabeth Motley, both 19, were later located by police at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center.

Milner, Sameulsson and Wey are freshmen members of the hockey team, according to the team’s website. Sameulsson was a second round selection by the Pittsburgh Penguins in last year’s NHL’s entry draft. Wey was a fourth round pick for the Washington Capitals.
