Bicyclist injured in Kensington hit-and-run

Police said an unidentified bicyclist was injured during a hit-and-run chain reaction crash in Kensington.

A bicyclist is fighting for his life after being struck by a car early Sundayduring a hit-and-run chain reaction crash in Kensington.

Investigators said a car was traveling south on the 2800 block of North Swanson Street when around 12:15 a.m. the driver slammed into an unattended parked car, then continued on and struck a bicyclist.

The driver of the striking vehicle allegedly abandoned the car and fled on foot.

Police said the bicyclist, who is being treated as a "John Doe," was rushed by medics to Temple University Hospital, where he was Sunday afternoon listed in critical condition with head trauma.

The driver remains on the loose.
