After trouncing his rival Tuesday, Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio said the next first family won't be so quick to move from their Park Slope digs to Gracie Mansion on the Upper East Side.
"I'm still reticent because the family hasn’t spoken yet," de Blasio said Wednesday when asked if he planned to move into the official residence from the home where he declared his candidacy in January.

"As you may have noticed, there are four strong personalities in the family, one of whom, Mr. Dante de Blasio, has strong feelings about proximity to his high school," de Blasio said. "There's a very serious family discussion that has to be had about what makes sense going forward."
Dante, who starred in de Blasio's now-famous campaign ad of the same name, is a junior at Brooklyn Tech in Fort Greene. The school is almost 2 miles from their Park Slope home, a 10 minute car ride or 20 minutes on public transit.
Dante's roughly 9-mile commute from Gracie Mansion would take about 20 minutes by car, or 50 minutes by public transit.
