A 46-year-old Brooklyn man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a man who disappeared in September and whose body was found upstate a month later.
Charles Butler, 56, was last seen in Brighton Beach on Sept.19, cops said. Police discovered a man’s body on Oct. 15 in Port Jervis, NY, and later identified the body as Butler.
Mikhail Chernyaev is charged with second-degree murder. Butler was the boyfriend of Chernyaev’s ex-girlfriend, The New York Post reports.
Chernyaev was called in for questioning by police and confessed after a long interview, the Post reports.
