The decaying body that was found stuffed inside a barrel in a Harlem apartment this past weekend has been identified as a 19-year-old woman who lived at the residence with her boyfriend and his grandmother. The death has been reclassified as a homicide, police said.
Francis Angelica Alfonso Pellerano sustained multiple stab wounds, the Medical Examiner said. Police discovered the Pellerano’s body Saturday night inside 2400 Seventh Ave. when they responded to complaints that a foul odor was coming from the apartment.
Pellerano’s boyfriend has not yet been questioned by police because he is undergoing psychiatric evaluation, according to the New York Post. The investigation is ongoing.
