A man’s body was recovered from the Charles River on Sunday and authorities are trying to identify the man.

The adult man’s body was pulled from the river by state police on Sunday afternoon, according to the Suffolk district attorney’s office. It was found in the area of the Community Boating boathouse, not far from the Longfellow Bridge.

The man, who was in his 20s, was not carrying identification.

Detectives were working to identify the man and contacted local universities, according to the district attorney’s office.

While the death does not appear suspicious, authorities are still investigating the facts and circumstances of how the man died.
