A Boston College student and her family are reportedly out $80,000 after a boastful Facebook post allegedly violated a confidentiality agreement.
The Miami Herald recently reported that the lucrative settlement in an age-discrimination case was thrown out after Dana Snay bragged about the win to her 1,200 Facebook friends. The online remark came after Snay's father, Patrick Snay, sued Gulliver Preparatory School in Miami after his contract was not renewed.
But under the settlement, Patrick Snay was forbidden from discussing the case. His daughter apparently didn't get the memo.
"Gulliver is now officially paying for my vacation to Europe this summer. SUCK IT," the post reportedly said.
When the school found out about the Facebook post, its lawyers appealed the settlement -- and it was tossed out, according to the Herald report.
