An argument in a Regis College dormitory spurred a fight in a parking lot that left a Waltham teen standing nearby the brawl fatally stabbed.

An argument in a Regis College dormitory spurred a fight in a parking lot that left a Waltham teen standing nearby the brawl fatally stabbed.

The man authorities said is responsible for the stabbing, Robenson Daniel, 20, of Boston, was ordered held without bail during his murder arraignment Thursday.

Both Daniel and the murder victim, Elhadji Ndiaye, 18, of Waltham, were on the college’s Weston campus visiting friends.

Words were exchanged between people in a dorm, and that argument spilled out in to a parking lot where a fight broke out between the two groups. Daniel became involved in a fight with a 22-year-old Waltham man and stabbed him multiple times before a witness was able to separate them, authorities said.

Daniel allegedly then stabbed Ndiaye in the chest as he stood near by.

Daniel was arrested Thursday morning.
