Boston police are asking for help locating a car that they believe was involved in the murder of a man last week in the South End.

Detectives are looking for a dark-colored, newer model Ford Explorer with a sun roof. Police said local car rental companies should be on alert for any returned cars that match that description.

Police were called to64 Aguadilla St. at about 2:45 a.m. Saturday for a report of a person shot. When officers arrived they found a man in his early 20s outside suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was later pronounced dead at Boston Medical Center. Police have not yet identified the victim.

Anyone with information can call 617-343-4470.
