Boston Police warn of Jamaica Pond robberies

Three people were robbed on a path near Jamaica Pond on Sept. 24 by two men wielding a gun and a knife, Boston police said in a community alert Tuesday.

Three people were robbed on a path near Jamaica Pond on Sept. 24 by two men wielding a gun and a knife, Boston police said in a community alert Tuesday.

One of the victims was led to the woods and tied to a tree, police said.

Now, police are seeking help in identifying the suspects.

The first attack targeted two people who were walking together around 11 p.m. when the armed suspects demanded their possessions. The suspects were given items, but continued to search the victims for more possessions, police said.

The second attack happened just 30 minutes later. The officers spoke with a victim, who said he was walking his bike when he was approached by two men, with one displaying a black firearm and the other displaying a knife.

After robbing the man, the suspects fled the area on foot and left him bound to a tree.

The suspects are both described as black Hispanic men in their early 20s. There were no other details provided.
