Boston voters have until midnight to 'Hailo' a free ride
Keep the meter under $20.12, and you've got yourself a free ride thanks to Hailo, an app-based taxi service that recently launched in Boston.
There are still a few hours for Bostonians to take up an offer by the city's newest app-based taxi service.
Hailo Boston announced last week that it would offer a $20.12 discount per customer off taxi fares hailed through the app on Election Day.
With the code VOTEHAILO, current and new Hailo users will be treated to discounted taxi rides. The idea is that a free (or cheap) ride would make it easier and more convenient for voters to travel to the polls and cast their votes. However, the offer runs a few hours after polls close - until midnight.
Once users download the app and register their credit card, they can plug in the promo code by tapping the "account" icon in the top left corner, tap "Hailo credits," enter the promo code, and tap "done" on iPhone or "submit" on Android phones. The credit will then be automatically applied to the customer’s next Hailo ride.
