Bottle bomb tossed at state rep's Philly office

A bottle bomb was tossed into Pennsylvania state Rep. Dwight Evans' campaign office in the city's West Oak Lane section Thursday afternoon.

A bottle bomb was tossed into Pennsylvania state Rep. Dwight Evans' campaign office in the city's West Oak Lane section Monday afternoon.

The bomb went off at Evans' office on the 7200 block of Limekiln Pike about 4:30 p.m., 6ABC Actions News reports.

Police learned a second bottle bomb exploded at nearby Simons Community Recreation Center.

The bottles were filled with a green, caustic chemical.

A 21-year-old man was taken into custody as a suspect in the bottle bombings, which did not injure anyone, according to Actions News.
