A 66-year-old woman died after being stabbed in the neck inside her Bronx home late Sunday night, police said.
The unidentified woman was found bleeding from multiple wounds to her throat inside the Elder Avenue apartment in Park Versailles around 11 p.m., according to the NYPD.
She was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center and pronounced dead.
Her husband was taken into custody as a person of interest, police said. As of Monday morning, no charges had been filed and there was nothing to implicate him in the stabbing, the NYPD said.
No weapon was recovered as of Monday morning, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
