Brooklyn district attorney candidate Abe George is expected to sue CBS to block the network from airing a new show featuring longtime Brooklyn D.A. Charles Hynes.
George, 34, wants the station to delay airing the show until after the election, the Daily News reports. It is currently scheduled to premier May 21.
"I am surprised CBS News would conspire to violate campaign finance laws," said George, who called the new series an "infomercial."
The six-part documentary series, called "Brooklyn D.A.," follows those who work in the borough's D.A. office, one of the largest in the country.
George and another challenger in the upcoming election, Kenneth Thompson, were both angered by the news of the show.
