September just got a whole lot hotter.

Canarsie native Philip Sylvester, 27, has been chosen to represent New York City in the national firefighter calendar, “Nation’s Bravest: Firefighters Unite,” released today.

"September will always belong to New York City," Sylvester said. He hopes his scantily-clad appearance as "Mr. New York" will honor those who perished in 9/11.

Sylvester applied to be part of the calendar to help raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project, a charity devoted to helping injured service members.

Sylvester has battled blazes for three years at Engine No. 255 in Flatbush.

"I get to save people's lives," he said of his day job. "It's the closest thing I could do to becoming a modern-day super hero."

Participating in the calendar has its perks, but his fellow firefighters have taken to calling him "Mr. Baby's Got Backdraft."

All of the firefighters featured in the calendar will be at Greenhouse in SoHo tonight to celebrate the release of the calendar.

And yes ladies, Sylvester is still looking for his Mrs. New York.
