A Brooklyn man was killed in a hit-and-run Friday night, police said.
Vernon Sylverter Bramble, 47, was crossing Flatbush Avenue at East 34th Street in the Flatlands neighborhood of Brooklyn around 10:30 p.m. when police said an unknown black vehicle traveling south on the avenue hit him and fled the scene.

Police found Bramble, who lived in Crown Heights, unresponsive and unconscious at the intersection. He was taken to Beth Israel Hospital and pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made and police said the investigation is ongoing.
