A young man was killed in Brooklyn early Sunday morning, police reported.
Dominique Garcia, 22, was in the passenger seat of a car with his brother and a friend when they encountered a group of people at the intersection of Van Siclen Avenue and New Lots Avenue in the Cypress Hills/East New York area of Brooklyn, cops said.
Police said the passengers in the car got into a dispute with the group blocking their path, and someone in the group fired into the car.
Garcia was shot once in the head, police said.
He was brought to Brookdale Hospital by his brother and a friend, according to police reports.
Police said he was pronounced dead later that day.
It is as yet unknown whether there was any connection between the group outside the car and the passengers inside the car, police said.
