Look out Hollywood, Boston is home to some of TV's most prominent leading ladies.
According to a recent list compiled by the Hollywood Reporter, three Boston University grads took top 10 spots for the most powerful women in the entertainment industry.
The three alumnae were ranked in the “Women in Entertainment 2011: Power 100,” list, based on their superior accomplishments, helping them beat out powerhouse performers like Lady Gaga, and everyone’s favorite female, Oprah Winfrey.
The list touts the accomplishments of Bonnie Hammer, chairman of NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment, CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler, who fell in the seventh place slot, and Nancy Dubuc, a 91’ grad, and current general manager and president of the History Channel and Lifetime Network.
According to BUToday, the editors at The Hollywood Reporter put the list together based on revenue generated by candidates for their respective companies, how many people they have working for them, and their overall influence in the industry.
