Bucks County student pleads guilty to crashing into a trailer full of tigers while high on pot

A Bucks County Community college student pleaded guilty to driving under the influence yesterday for a November incident in which he crashed his car into a trailer holding two Bengal tigers on I-95 in Bensalem, The Intelligencer reported.

Twenty-year-old William Fleming told a Bucks County judge that he fled the crash scene not to avoid police, but to avoid the tigers in the truck driven by Bruce Richard Wyman III of Dallas, Texas. No one was injured in the accident.

“When he heard those tigers roar, well, that coupled with the effects of the marijuana he had smoked was enough to make anyone run down I-95,” his lawyer reportedly told the judge.

Fleming was sentenced to 72 hours of community service, a one-year suspension of his driver’s license and a $300 fine, according to the paper.
