Burlington County man arrested in fatal Camden hit-and-run

A Burlington County man is behind bars for a fatal hit-and-run accident in Camden that killed a 29-year-old woman and injured three others Saturday.

The accident happened on Interstate 676 near exit 4 in Camden at about 11:40 a.m. Ronald Winzinger, 35, of Hainesport, surrendered to Burlington County authorities on Monday and is charged with leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident and hindering apprehension.

Police said Winzinger was behind the wheel of a speeding Nissan Xterra when it struck the back of a Mazda that was stopped for traffic. Winzinger stopped briefly following the collision, but fled the scene shortly thereafter, police said. Michelle MacInnes, 29, was seated in the rear of the Mazda and died as a result of the accident.

The Xterra was found under a tarp in a parking lot near Winzinger’s home, police said. Winzinger is being held on $75,000 bail.
