A Philadelphia jury convicted Carlos Figueroa-Fagot of all charges including attempting to kidnap a 10-year-old girl in 2012. A judge sentenced him to 17 to 34 years in prison.

On the afternoon of July 17, 2012, Figueroa-Fagot pulled his car up to a 10-year-old girl and her two-year-old brother on the 2400 block of Lee Street in South Philadelphia. The brother and sister were walking to buy water ice w hen Figueroa-Fagot exited his car, picked up the young girl and tried to carry her to his car as her brother screamed.
