Cause of Fort Point blaze still being investigated

Two firefighters were hurt fighting an overnight blaze in the Fort Point neighborhood.

The three-alarm fire was in a crossover between buildings at 27 Melcher St., fire officials said.

Dozens of firefighters battled the blaze, which broke out about 11 p.m.

Two firefighters were sent to the hospital with injuries that included a separated shoulder and another arm injury.

The fire caused about $200,000 in damage and the cause is still being investigated.
