A ceramic decorative mural made up of tiles fell off the side of a building in Chinatown early this morning, but no one was injured.
The mural, located on the side of a structure at 9th and Race streets, does not appear to have any connection to the Mural Arts Program.
The tiles cracked and fell in pieces onto the street around 4:30 a.m. this morning, ABC reported.
The building with the tiles on its side was reportedly evacuated of 17 residents as a safety precaution.
Tiles were removed from the street before the morning commute and L&I was reportedly investigating the building for safety concerns today.
