Charlie Sheen has thrown in his two cents — er, $1,000 — regarding LeSean McCoy and TipGate.
Sheen pledged on his Twitter account Wednesday afternoon that he will donate $1,000 to waiter Rob Knelly, who received a 20-cent tip from No. 25 after the superstar running back visited the PYT burger joint in Northern Liberties on Monday.
"dear Tommy Up at PYT in Philly," Sheen wrote from on his account, @CharlieSheen. "Please tell Rob KI'm pledging 1000 dollars to him for the tip debacle just wanna help. c #NoJudgement"
McCoy came under scrutiny Tuesday for apparently tipping 20 cents on a $61.56 bill Monday at the popular burger joint.
Tommy Up, the outspoken owner of PYT, located at The Piazza at Schmidt’s, was infuriated with the lack of hospitality and posted a photo of the receipt on Facebook with the message: “That is a .03% tip. New record! "
In regards to Sheen's generous offer, Up wrote on his Facebook page: "Charlie Sheen is an American hero and a gentleman."
