A Chester County man who has been a foster father to more than 50 children over the years has been charged with sexually abusing two of his wards.
Leroy Mitchell's alleged victims were both younger than 10 years old, 6ABC Action News reports.
Authorities fear there may be more victims out there, as Mitchell and his wife have been foster parents to more than 50 children over several decades.
Mitchell, 60, of West Strasburg Road in West Bradford, was a Chester County prison guard but has been "relieved of his duties," according to the report. He was initially arrested Friday for the alleged assault of one child. Charges were brought against him Tuesday in connection with the alleged assault of a second child as a result of a follow-up investigation.
Mitchell is charged with multiple counts of aggravated indecent assault, endangering the welfare of children and related offenses. He is being held in Chester County jail on $500,000 bail.
The victims were between 7 and 9 years old at the time of the alleged assaults.
