Three young children were rescued from a North Philadelphia house fire Thursday night.
The fire broke out about 7 p.m. on the 1700 block of Newkirk Street, CBS Philly reported.Neighbors and police broke out windows and busted down a door to rescue three children, ages 2, 4 and 9, who had been left unattended and locked inside the home.
The oldest child sustained cuts and the younger children suffered from smoke inhalation, according to the report. All three are expected to make full recoveries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
