Rappers Chris Brown and Drake may have to pay the price after a claim they started a fight in a Manhattan nightclub in June.
The two were named in a $16 million-lawsuit filed today that claims they started the bottle-throwing brouhaha at joint clubs Greenhouse and WiP, according to the New York Post.
The two rappers are accused of “gross negligence,” “ultrahazardous activity” and “intentional illegal acts.”
In papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. states that Brown and Drake had a grudge against each other stemming from their romantic relationships with Rihanna.
According to the suit both men arrived at the clubs each “with his own small army of bodyguards, ‘security’ personnel, employees, friends and other members of their entourage, consisting of at least 15 heavily built men trained and/or experienced in the hand-to-hand and weapons combat.”
When the fight erupted the two dueling crews used what they could find as weapons.
“On defendant Brown and defendant Drake’s instructions, their two posses had at each other, throwing highball glasses laden with alcohol, shattering the handles of bottles of spirits to use as makeshift knives and even throwing bottles at each other,” the suit read, according to the New York Post.
Among those injured was basketball player Tony Parker, who is also now suing Greenhouse and WiP for $20 million.
