Chris Christie wants Giants parade to happen in New Jersey

In a move that will likely now jinx the Giants’ chance of a victory over the 49ers on Sunday, Gov. Chris Christie suggested this morning that if the New York Giants win the Superbowl, the parade should be in New Jersey, not New York.

On the “Today” show this morning, the Garden State guv said the parade should be in New Jersey because, he said, “They play in New Jersey. They train in New Jersey.”

The New York Giants play in the MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands. Their last Superbowl win, in 2008, was followed with a parade in New York.

“Today” show host Matt Lauer asked Christie, “What’s it say on their helmets?” referring to the “NY” Giants logo.

“That’s about it,” Christie replied.
