Citizens aid downtown arrest

BOSTON. A group of people who followed a man suspected of breaking in
to a car on Charles Street helped in his arrest Sunday night.

Police stopped Jamie Kitchens, 34, of Boston, along Tremont Street just after 6 p.m. when they were flagged down by witnesses. The people told police they were walking through the Public Garden, heard glass break and saw Kitchens leaning in to the parked car and removing items.

Kitchens faces multiple charges including breaking and entering a motor vehicle.
