Boston officials issued an advisory this afternoon to warn commuters driving home in the heavy rain and wind.
Drivers were urged to lower traffic speed to avoid hydroplaning and skidding on slick road surfaces.
The city's Transportation Department also said to be cautious of pedestrians because visibility would be low.
