Collingdale community rallies to capture a killer

The owners of the local auto repair garage, pawn shop, bar and propane store in a small Delaware County community have rallied together to catch a criminal.

The owners of the local auto repair garage, pawn shop, bar and propane store in a small Delaware County community have rallied together to catch a criminal.

The Collingdale community has pooled $2,000 to help catch the driver who killed a resident on Friday night.

Timothy McCaughan, 58, died shortly after he was hit by an SUV at Spruce Street and Clifton Avenue about 10 p.m.

The reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the fatal hit-and-run.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned Hispanic or black man with a close-cut beard and curly dark hair. He was driving an older model tan SUV.
