Construction worker finds fatal gunshot victim at Bustleton job site

The grisly discovery happened about 7:20 a.m. on the 10000 block of Northeast Avenue.

A construction worker made an unexpected find when he showed up to work in Northeast Philadelphia this morning: a man who had been shot in his head.

The grisly discovery happened about 7:20 a.m. on the 10000 block of Northeast Avenue, near Red Lion Road.

The construction worker found the victim on the Red, Black & White Furniture site, in the city's Bustleton section. Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene about 10 minutes later.

The victim still has not been identified.

Police are investigating whether the victim was shot on the construction site or dumped there.
