MASSAPEQUA – Police are trying to sift through varying accounts of what happened the night Nassau County policeman Geoffrey Breitkopf was killed in a friendly-fire incident.
Police officers who witnessed Saturday night’s fatal shooting said Breitkopf was wearing his badge and carrying a rifle on a sling around his shoulder with its barrel pointing down.
Cops want to know whether Glenn Gentile, 33, the MTA officer who shot Breitkopf, identified himself. The public viewing begins today at the Selden Fire Department from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to
