Police involved in a “violent” struggle with a burglary suspect in Charlestown were aided by a Good Samaritan yesterday.
Responding to a report of men looking into cars with flashlights in the Elm Street area, police saw two men allegedly breaking into a car just before 1 a.m.
When the men spotted police, they fled but the officers were able to corner one suspect, Steven Shea, 42, of Randolph.
“The suspect … violently fought with officers until they were assisted by a Good Samaritan,” police said.
