Police have arrested a Brooklyn man they say fatally stabbed a livery cab driver in the eye with an umbrella last week.

Shamel Allen, 28, has been charged with manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

Allen was riding in the victim's car in the vicinity of Lott Avenue and Thomas Boyland Street when he allegedly stabbed 54-year-old Uro Ama Orji last Thursday. Allen stabbed Uro with the tip of an umbrella, the New York Post reports.

The motivation for the stabbing is not clear.

Uro was a Nigerian immigrant and father of five, the Post reports.
