The smell coming from a diaper in a Boston man’s car was not what you’d expect.
State police said that they pulled over the man and found that he allegedly stashed 100 grams of heroin in a diaper that was in a baby bag.
Yefri Guerrero-Ramirez, 25, was charged with trafficking heroin and having an obstructed nontransparent window.
A trooper spotted Guerrero-Ramirez traveling on Route 84 in Sturbridge Sunday and pulled him over because his car windows were excessively tinted, police said.
When speaking with Guerrero-Ramirez, the trooper decided that he “was not being truthful.”
The trooper called for a drug-sniffing police dog.
During an exterior “sniff” of the car, the dog alerted troopers to the presence of a narcotic odor emanating from the front passenger door.
On the front passenger side floor, troopers found a baby bag. Inside the bag was a diaper that contained 100 grams of heroin, police said. The troopers also found a digital scale inside the bag, police said.
Police did not say if there was a baby in the car.
