Police yesterday captured a 19-year-old man wanted since Saturday for shooting at an off-duty cop who foiled his plan to rob a Brooklyn beauty salon.
Winston Cox, who was injured when Police Officer Feris Jones returned fire, was arrested around 1 a.m. at a Bedford-Stuyvesant apartment. The New York Post reported the teen answered the door with his bleeding hands wrapped in paper towels. He was taken to a nearby hospital before he was charged with attempted murder and robbery last night.
Police were tipped off to Cox’s Bed-Stuy hideout after blanketing the neighborhood.
