Cops are searching for a man who tried to rape a female jogger in Riverside Park, grabbing her and choking her before bystanders scared him away.
According to cops, on Friday around 6 p.m., a 24-year-old woman was jogging along a wooded path inside Riverside Park, between West 122nd and 125th streets.
A man approached her from behind, grabbed her by the neck and started to choke her, cops said.

Then, he threw the woman to the ground and tried to rape her, but was interrupted by people who were in the area, according to police.
The woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The man is described as male, Hispanic, about 35 to 40 years old, 5'9" and 180 pounds.
At the time of the attack, he was wearing a blue baseball cap and carrying a backpack, both with a Nike "swoosh," according to police.
