Cops hunt for thieves in citywide string of jewelry store robberies

Police are looking for suspects wanted in connection with seven robberies in Queens, Manhattan and Brooklyn in the last three months.

Police are looking for suspects wanted in connection with seven robberies in Queens, Manhattan and Brooklyn in the last three months.

In each of the incidents, which began Sept. 10, one suspect entered the store armed with a handgun and two to three other suspects jumped over the counter to steal jewelry, police said.

Police said the most recent robbery occurred at a store on Main Street in Flushing, Queens, on Saturday at 5:55 p.m.

One jewelry store in Chinatown was hit twice, once on Oct. 17 and again less than a day later, police said.

Another Chinatown store was targeted on Sept. 10 and a Sunset Park, Brooklyn, store was hit Oct. 15, police said. Two Jackson Heights, Queens, stores were hit on Oct. 28 and Oct. 31.

No injuries were reported in any of the robberies.

All suspects are described as Hispanic males, police said.

Police ask anyone with information about the robberies to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
