State police said a trooper received a report of a person driving erratically along Interstate 195 eastbound in Fall River at about 10 p.m. Wednesday.

The trooper caught up to the Lexus and after an investigation the man was charged with driving under the influence of drugs.

While the man was being booked, troopers discovered that the man was in possession of 243 bags of heroin totaling about 24 grams. He was then additionally charged with drug offenses, police said.
