Police are turning to the public to help them identify and track down a man who allegedly indecently assaulted a 22-year-old woman as she walked along the Esplanade.

State police and the Suffolk district attorney's office release surveillance photos on Saturday of the man they believe to be the attacker. The pictures were taken from state police security cameras along the Esplanade.

Police were called to the area of the Massachusetts Avenue bridge at about 12:30 a.m. Friday. There, the woman told police that a man on a bicycle indecently assaulted her after a brief verbal exchange. The woman fled and sought help from another bicyclist who then called police.
