Police are looking for a man who attempted to rob a woman and then sexually assaulted her while she was walking her dog in the Kips Bay neighborhood of Manhattan.
The man approached the victim, 28, about 2 a.m. April 6 on East 27th Street, police said. He displayed a black handgun and demanded money and a cellphone. When the woman said she didn’t have anything, he sexually assaulted her and then fled the scene.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall and heavyset with a bald head. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt with a bubble vest.
