Cops seek suspect in six Manhattan bank robberies

Police are searching for a 31-year-old man who they say robbed six different banks in Manhattan in the past month and a half.

Cops say Andre Calix robbed six banks between June 3 and July 8. In the first five incidents, Calix approached a teller, passed a note demanding money and fled with cash, police said.

In the most recent incident, police say Calix entered a HSBC bank located at 250 Park Ave., displayed a firearm to a teller and demanded money. He fled with an unknown amount of cash.

Calix is described as a black male, about 6 feet tall and weighing 180 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
