Cops: Woman rescued from fiery wreckage after crashing car into house
Police said Good Samaritans rescued a 21-year-old woman after she drove her car into a Crescentville home and the vehicle burst into flames.
A woman allegedly crashed her car into a Crescentville home early Saturday morning, causing the vehicle to burst into flames.
Officers shortly before 2:15 a.m. responded to the 4700 block of Roosevelt Boulevard near Adams Avenue.
There, they found a 21-year-old woman had crashed her car into a home.
A witness said he saw the woman driving a 2008 Toyota Scion north in the outer lane of Roosevelt Boulevard at a high rate of speed when she lost control of the car, smashing into the exterior of a house.
Police said the vehicle then burst into flames, but Good Samaritans pulled the woman from the burning car.
She was taken to Temple University Hospital, where she was placed in critical condition.
