Revere police are asking for the public’s help to identify a woman who they said stole a firefighter’s wallet while he was out battling a blaze.
Police on Tuesday released surveillance images of the woman with the hope that someone will recognize her.
On July 7 firefighters left the Revere Central Fire Station on Broadway to battle a fire on Revere Beach, police said. While fire crews were out, a woman, along with two children, entered the fire house and walked around. Police said she later took a wallet belonging to one of the firefighters that was out responding to the fire.
The credit cards from the wallet were then used later that evening at various stores including Target and Payless shoe store.
