Corrections van already awaits Wall Street protesters

We’re hearing that an estimated 3,000 people have gathered to march in from Foley Square as part of the Occupy-Wall-Street-meets-union rally today at 4 p.m.

And the NYPD is already getting ready to shuffle protesters off to Rikers, it would appear.

Metro spotted this blue corrections van set up on Centre Street, a block south of the demonstration. Last Saturday, when 700 people were arrested on the Brooklyn Bridge, the NYPD brought down several large buses from Rikers, specifically to cart away those they arrested.

We’re told today’s march has a permit, unlike Saturday’s takeover of the Brooklyn Bridge car lanes.
